Classes for Children, Youth, and Adults
Our curriculum includes classes for all ages in the traditional Korean Martial Art of Soo Bahk Do. Adaptation is provided as needed for students with physical or developmental challenges.
Progress from the earliest beginner through more advanced levels is based on ability rather than age. Periodic testing allows students to demonstrate their proficiency and move on to more difficult or complex skill levels. Except for the Crouching Tigers group, most classes are a mix of levels and ages, learning and working together to deepen their Soo Bahk Do martial arts skills and knowlege.
Soo Bahk Do classes are $65 monthly for 2 or more classes per week; $50 monthly for Crouching Tigers. Family discounts available. Private lessons also available - $30.
CrouchingTigers
The Crouching Tigers class offers children between 4 and 6 years old a fun, age-appropriate introduction to martial arts. Emphasis is on safety, respect for teachers and classmates, and learning basic moves and how to use them properly.
Youth Classes
Children and teens develop their skills as they progress from 10th Gup (beginning student) to the Dan ranks. Age matters less than ability and discipline, but whatever the level all students enjoy a great workout, developing control of their bodies and their minds. Credit for homeschool PE can be arranged.
Adults
Our adult students include men and women who simply want to strengthen their bodies, long-time martial arts practitioners, and people who seek physical activity that can accomodate a disability or injury. We can help students of any physical level achieve confidence in their Soo Bahk Do practice.
